Golden Helix Symposium 2012. Genomic Medicine: Translating Genes into Health

The Secretary-General of the Compagnia di San Paolo Piero Gastaldo is opening the international conference from 18-21 April at the Centro Congressi Torino Incontra of which the HuGeF is the local partner.
The conference will include the most recent trends in the field of translational medicine and will include sessions dedicated to new developments in decoding the human genome and new discoveries in clinical genomics, oncological genomics and genomics of the population, as well as the integration of genomics in clinical practice.
Other themes under discussion include the study of genome-wide association, molecular cytogenetics, pharmacogenomics, next-generation sequencing and bioinformatics, paying particular attention to the social aspects to do with introducing genetics into clinical practice.
