Biomedical and Biotechnological Research
The Compagnia intends to promote research on life sciences, with particular reference to genetics, neurosciences, biomedical research, and biotechnology.
This context includes the new launch, in partnership with the “Università” and the “Politecnico di Torino” – Turin’s university and school of engineering -, of the new instrumental body HuGeF, Human Genetics Foundation, whose research fields include genetic variability in its relationship with human evolution, epigenetics, tumor genetics, immunogenetics, and molecular epidemiology.
Furthermore, the Compagnia continues to carry out the Neurosciences Program and to support the active centers in the reference territories.
Beside these, the possibility of activating other areas of intervention in biomedical research and in biotechnologies is currently being examined, with particular reference to the study of the causes of population mortality and morbidity, to the development of research on molecular biotechnology through operating bodies, and to expanding the collaboration with higher learning institutions.
