Tapestries repaired thanks to contributions from the Compagnia di San Paolo return to Palazzo Reale after 50 years

The Chair of the foundation Angelo Benessia is taking part in the preview in the Sala degli Staffieri of the Appartamento di Rappresentanza in Palazzo Reale on Monday 11 July at 11.30, along with Mario Turetta, Daniela Biancolini, Luisa Papotti and others.
On the 150th anniversay of the Unification of Italy an important new step has been laid in revisiting the historical layout of Torino’s Palazzo Reale. The tapestries had last been seen by the public during the Italia 61 celebrations. They were then placed in storage, replaced by other works of high artistic level but of no historical relevance with the hall. For the 150 years of the Unification of Italy they are once again on show, restoring the hall to its original harmony.
