Development of the University System
The Compagnia di San Paolo is committed to supporting research doctorates, postgraduate scholarships, masters, and specialization schools. In these activities the Compagnia’s operating bodies are largely engaged.
The agreement on a long-term framework characterizes and will characterize the Compagnia’s relations concerning university and postgraduate education with the universities in Piedmont (Università di Torino, Politecnico di Torino, Università del Piemonte orientale “Amedeo Avogadro”), but also with universities in other reference territories. At the same time, there are interventions in support of initiatives outside such framework that are being brought to completion. Whereas the support to doctorates – oriented to those that present characteristics of “excellence” or that promote strategic sectors in which the Compagnia is directly interested – and the support to educational activities (such as the one relevant to university structures and infrastructures) will be fully included into the agreed framework, it will have to be verified for each individual case and field whether it is feasible to totally or partially include the research activities in this agreed framework.
