Development of the School System
In the area of pre-university education, the Compagnia is traditionally present through another operating body, the “Fondazione per la Scuola” – the Foundation for Schools. The Foundation is committed to enhancing schools’ autonomy by taking as a reference point the single schools and offering services to those that intend to use them, but also by trying to create networks of schools especially, but not only, in the northwestern part of the country. To this end, it intends to create “intervention models” for the support of institutes and teaching personnel, using, among its tools, public examinations. The Compagnia intends to continue sustaining these activities, identifying the Foundation as the body to which it can entrust all interventions concerning schools, from primary school to secondary school.
Moreover, initiatives are planned for the future with the aim of strengthening investments in the education of minors, ranging from early childhood up to the end of compulsory education, developed and integrated by the different sectors of the Compagnia and by the Fondazione per la Scuola, so as to operate more efficiently in the integration of foreign and second-generation minors.
