The other interventions on museums
Next to the interventions singled out by the Programma Musei, particular attention will be given to the other most significant museums, that are points of cultural attraction and that shape the territory’s identity. Moreover, the importance given to experiences in the context of museums – or, to use a current expression, of Interpretation Centers – that, by using new languages, substantiate and analyze in depth the problems of the history of the 20th century, is now confirmed. Of these museums, the diffused Museum of the Underground Movement and the National Museum of Cinema are interesting examples. In the city of Genova, the functional restoration of the museums and their new mounting will go side by side with the restoration of eminent architectural structures in the historical center, as well as of other prestigious museums.
